Description
This is a four layered laminated curved paddle. Made from 2 Oak outer edges inner core is Maple. Paddles approximate length 53cm handle length 12.5cm width 5cm thickness 1.5m weighs approximately 247g. Hand carved shaped handle inner core Maple and Maple and oak handle slips.
This is a beautiful silky-smooth paddle, great for rubbing over the skin for a sensory play feel as well as a great impact toy. The outer curve of the paddle gives you a nice thuddy warm feeling while the inner curve gives a slapping/sting feeling and is designed to cup each cheek.
This paddle has been treated with at least 3 layers of Danish oil, 1st coat is very heavy. This is to seal the timber and create a barrier its then left to thoroughly dry, while another 2/3 light coats are applied. Before the last coat I rub over with 0000 grade wire wool and apply a very thin coat and it’s left to dry naturally.
